Over 70 Years in Basketball: C2C has been deeply rooted in the game. Here's a look back on how C2C started - our unstoppable story.

Who is C2C Sport?

At C2C, basketball isn't just something we do — it's part of who we are. Our founder, John Davidson, grew up literally across the road from his local court and spent as much time there as he possibly could. He went on to serve more than 30 years as NSW Country Basketball President and holds life memberships at Basketball NSW, Dubbo and Port Macquarie Basketball Associations. His commitment still shapes how C2C shows up for the basketball community today.

Ben Davidson, C2C Managing Director, was destined to play basketball and follow in his father's footsteps. Ben is a lifelong player, coach and sport administrator and entered the NSW Basketball development pathways created by John Davidson and his basketball collaborators.

Ben says, "I have been so extremely fortunate to be around some amazing basketball people and basketball families. Dad's basketball mates in both Metro and Country areas not just in NSW and VIC, but all over Australia and Oceania helped develop the game and made a huge contribution in getting basketball to where it is today and also supporting C2C to be what it is today. I am eternally grateful to the basketball community for their support of C2C for the last 36 years.

My family homes in Dubbo and now in Port Macquarie were and still are basketball halfway houses. I remember BBQ's where legendary Indiana high school basketball player and coaches, like Al Rhodes and Jimmy Miller, who described the merits and pitfalls of many offence and defence sets with NSW legends Rex Nottage and Bernie Slattery. We had professional players and coaches living with us, visiting us, and running camps, so I was immersed in basketball, and I feel very privileged to have been there. I still remember the million dollar move Jimmy Miller taught me as a 14 year old, he had me dreaming of the NCAA and NBA," he added.
